Academy of Performing Arts |
Students in this academy are given the opportunity pursue and explore their talents in specialized performing arts electives while completing their high school academic program. The Academy of Performing Arts is comprised of five emphasis areas: Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Dance. *Students who meet the specific course of study requirements and have completed the required senior project may apply for SSHS Academy Certification in addition to their high school diploma.

The Fine Arts Academy is designed for students with the desire to express themselves artistically through a broad range of specialized classes ranging from Basic Design to Computer Animation. Classes are designed to develop a solid foundation in the fundamental aspects of both the history and technique of each art form. Students in this academy are encouraged to discover their own voice by creating art work that is both meaningful and challenging. *Students who meet the specific course of study requirements and have completed the required senior project may apply for SSHS Academy Certification in addition to their high school diploma.

| Academy of Technical Arts |
The Technical Arts Academy includes two emphasis areas: Stagecraft Technology, and Television and the Art of Film. Both academies provide the ?ehind the scenes production expertise needed for successful imagery and production in the entertainment industry. Academy courses are designed to give students a broad range of experience, allowing them to discover their talents and develop their skills. The most advanced students are placed in internship programs through their ROP capstone classes where they apply their knowledge and skills in specialized industry jobs. *Students who meet the specific course of study requirements and have completed the required senior project may apply for Academy Certification in addition to their high school diploma.
